The Pacific Northwest holds a very abundant population of Beavers.
Nuisance situations range from blocked culverts on private property in urban areas such as Kirkland, WA to extensive family groups of Beavers creating/maintaining massive 100+ ft long dams in the rural Arlington, WA area.
Beavers are highly capable of creating their own habitat or making pre-existing habitats suitable for their needs. Loss of trees/vegetation for timber companies can be very costly and also cause immense ecological damage.
Additionally, Beavers are able to very easily jeopardize roadway infrastructure through damming and can cause millions of dollars worth of damage to public property.
